About the Role

The Senior Product Manager at Pocket Prep will develop game-changing features for our learning platform. This is an exciting opportunity for those with an entrepreneurial spirit and experience or a demonstrated interest in learning design, game design, or learning science. You’ll bring your passion for education to create experiences that support learning for hundreds of thousands of people trying to improve their life through professional certification.

You will collaborate closely with a talented team of designers and engineers to uncover opportunities, generate creative solutions, and test the best ideas through focused experiments. You’ll become an expert in our customers' needs and market trends, working alongside the VP of Product to shape our strategic roadmap. You’ll manage project lifecycles, keep stakeholders informed, and analyze performance post-launch to ensure continuous improvement. Note: This job is a hybrid job, and candidates are preferably located in North Carolina. 

What You Will Do

  • Foster a deep understanding of our customer’s needs, pain points, and desires

  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of the competitive landscape

  • Partner with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, and content, to build and iterate on features that engage adult learners and support various learning modalities

  • Manage projects through the product development lifecycle from idea through release

  • Maintain the product roadmap and keep the company informed on all things related to your projects

  • Identify key performance indicators for the projects you work on, and monitor and report on those KPIs as the product is improved over time

  • Support backlog grooming, ticket creation, and bug triage


About You

We’re looking for someone who has the following:

  1. Required

    1. At least 5 years in a product management role

    2. Experience using data analytics to drive product improvements

    3. Experience or demonstrated interest in instructional design, game design, or learning science

  2. Preferred

    1. Experience conducting user research

    2. Familiarity with the Atlassian suite

    3. Located in the Durham, NC area
